Children's Church

The children’s church ministry is a training session to teach the youth how to conduct regular worship services, how to pray, etc. Open discussions are encouraged regarding “real life problems and situations” how to handle church, home, and school problems.

Membership Support Services

This committee is the official welcoming committee of the church. It provides spiritual guidance and information to new and returning members to help them find their place in the church’s ministry. This is a helping ministry of the church where members are encouraged, supported, and taught, involvement.

Educational Resource Center

This center is provided to further educate individuals for the future. It is to encourage high school graduates to seek further development through higher education and to offer financial assistance towards that endeavor. Members perform outreach services that promote the inter congregational patronage of member’s businesses or professional organization.

Men's Ministry

The Men of Faith fellowship maintains to enhance the solidarity between the men of Stephen Temple and assist in the church’s functions and upkeep.

Judah District Praise Ministry

The purpose of the praise ministry is to praise god through the ministry of music. To create an awareness of God in the minds of the worshippers and to enhance the inner life of man. (Praise Team & Choir rehearses every Saturday at 12:30 p.m.)Judah meaning praise, the fourth son of Jacob by Leah. The name originated in Leah’s words of praise to the lord on account of his birth, “now will I praise the lord, and she called his name Judah”. The praise & worship manual is prepared to assist praise team leaders in informing their members on the dynamics of praise & worship. Topics include: the order of worship, consecration, praise leader evaluation, harbingers, drawing lessons, spiritual authority, and the difference between praise & worship, who should praise, why should we praise, and things that hinder my worship.

Women's Ministry Organization

The Womens Ministry Organization is led by the church’s First Lady, Mrs. Cynthia D. Colbert. It is one of the most dynamic departments in the life of Stephen Temple Church. This department is designed to help women to become excellent in their everyday living and spiritual walk with god. Women are trained, then equipped to meet the challenges they may face in their local churches. Sponsoring activities such as seminars, workshops, retreats etc, are planned for women of all ages. The Women activities retreats are always popular. Past retreats were in Traverse City at the Grand Traverse Resort and the Radisson in Southfield with dynamic and inspirational speakers. Past seminars include, Breaking Through to the Blessed Life, Duties of Holy Women, A Wise Woman Buildeth Her House, Women of Faith, Prayer and Spiritual Warfare, Investing for Women Taking Control of Your Finances.

The Redeemed of the Lord Youth Ministry (TRL)

The Youth Ministry give attention and effort to developing the finest, most effective programs to reach, nurture, and train the youth in our local church the youth department develops programs to meet not only the spiritual needs of the youth, but also to meet the physical, mental, social and emotional needs. To provide a well organized body through which the Holy Ghost can work. Promotion and extension programs in developing an organized youth department as a structured agency in the church for carrying out the great commission of Christ to reach, teach, and win the youth to him and doing in effectively.
